It’s been pure chaos in fantasy land since the Sunday night snip-snap with Ashton Jeanty, so let’s catch you up to speed on everything you need to know …

Jeanty avoids a long-term injury. We are still waiting for an update on the severity of Jeanty’s ankle sprain, but yesterday Adam Schefter said the Raiders don’t know if he’s going to miss any time.

» Fantasy spin: Until we get more clarity, Jeanty is more of a 2-3 turn pick (top 25) as opposed to a 1-2 turn guy. I’d be aggressively targeting Mike Washington in the 130-140 range in case Jeanty does miss some time. Worst-case scenario, he’s a nice handcuff bet as a clear RB2.

TreVeyon Henderson is banged up. He slipped on a cut and left practice.

» Fantasy spin: This poor dude has had a rough summer. Continue to target Rhamondre Stevenson as much as possible.

The Texans trade for Kayshon Boutte. This move makes a ton of sense for both squads. Houston is in desperate need of WRs with Jayden Higgins out for the year and Tank Dell’s outlook getting murkier by the day.

» Fantasy spin: Nico Collins is an even bigger smash now, and Romeo Doubs becomes an even stronger “eat your vegetables” pick. Boutte is on the best ball menu when stacked with C.J. Stroud, but I wouldn’t mess with it otherwise. Full fallout here:

The Browns name Deshaun Watson as their starting QB. Any time you can name a guy who has failed to top 6.5 yards per attempt in any of his seasons with the Browns, has two seasons of at least a 10.5% sack rate, and has posted the second-worst EPA per dropback among 138 QBs since 2022 … you gotta do it.

1.07: Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

I’m more tempted to draft running backs early this year than I have been in quite some time. 

But in a 3WR, full PPR format, Amon-Ra has to be the selection. 

You can make the argument that St. Brown is the third- or fourth-safest player in Round 1. You want consistency? Look no further than St. Brown, who has finished as the WR4 in fantasy each of the past three seasons. St. Brown has averaged 159.3 targets, 1,393 yards and 11 touchdowns over the last three years. He’s coming off a career-high 172 targets, though that number is likely to drop significantly entering 2026. Though not as much as Jameson Williams, St. Brown did benefit from the absence of Sam LaPorta, averaging 11.3 targets and 89.5 receiving yards per game in eight outings with LaPorta sidelined. Assuming LaPorta stays healthy, St. Brown will likely slide into the 145-150 targets, which is obviously still elite. 

The Lions will once again have a new playcaller in Drew Petzing, but the passing game will continue to run through St. Brown. Since 2023, no player has more third-down targets than Amon-Ra’s 134, while his 32.4% third-down target share during that span is the second-highest in football. When push comes to shove, we know where Jared Goff is going with the football.

Finding Auction Values At Tight End

We saw some cheap TEs pay off last season, and this year we’ve got even more depth, with some talented TEs landing in spots that could finally get the most out of them.

You already know the rules at Auction-Mart: we’re heading straight to the clearance racks, looking for bargains first.

Dallas Goedert (Consensus Value: $12)

Hold on! Look at that end cap. There’s a SALE sign in green and silver. Ohhh, it’s Dallas Goedert—and at $12, this feels like a no-brainer.

A.J. Brown and his 121 targets are gone, so where will those opportunities go? Philadelphia added Makai Lemon, who is nursing a hamstring injury, and Dontayvion Wicks, but building chemistry with Jalen Hurts could take time.

Goedert doesn’t have that problem. Their connection was one of the few bright spots in Philadelphia’s offense last season. After averaging 3.4 touchdowns per season before 2025, Goedert erupted for 11.

You also love hearing “12 personnel” when shopping for a fantasy TE. OC Sean Mannion can use his receivers’ speed to stretch defenses, opening the middle for Goedert to create after the catch. We’ve seen that ability before: Goedert finished inside the top 10 among tight ends with 320 YAC yards in 2023.

At this price, Goedert is one of the easiest items to throw into the cart.
